The Pierre de Segonzac estate lies in the very heart of Grande Champagne, classified as Cognac’s #1 Premier Cru. This prestigious appellation, renowned for its unique chalky soils, produces the finest and most aromatic eaux-de-vie in the region exclusively from 100% Ugni Blanc grapes.

The Ferrand family history dates back to 1702, when Jacques Ferrand first distilled on the Biard lands, but  in 1469 they were already growing wine. In 2000 with many barrels having aged for more than 50 years, Pierre Ferrand established Cognac Pierre Segonzac, named after the village where he lived.  Today, the estate spans 8 hectares of vineyards, where Ugni Blanc—the king grape of Cognac—is cultivated.

Distillation remains artisanal and traditional, carried out in two hand-hammered copper Charentais stills. Thanks to this complete mastery of production, Pierre de Segonzac crafts cognacs with an authentic and elegant aromatic profile, by 12th generation master distiller Pablo Ferrand, grandson of the legendary Pierre Ferrand. Distilled on the lees and aged in Linousin oak. "We do not sell to the major houses, so all of our Cognac is used for our own brand". Today the Cognac he and his grandfather distilled is sought after by enthusiasts and collectors alike.
