In the upper garrigue, twenty kilometres north of Montpellier, a highly characteristic silhouette
stands out. The bold profile of the Pic Saint-Loup exudes an almost mystical atmosphere. From its height, it overlooks the plains and hillsides, at
the foot of which traditional villages lie, between pine forests and garrigue scrubland.
The Pic Saint-Loup terroir is the northernmost of the Languedoc terroirs. The blend of Mediterranean and continental climates provides its original character. Late summer differences in daytime and night-time temperatures favour the finesse and character of these wines. This diversity gives rise to an exceptional terroir that gives the wines of Cos Du Petit Jour a very strong personality.
Mediterranean, warm and dry.
Calcareous clay with a heavy gravel load.
